Mr. Yishai Sorek

Board Member

Yishay Sorek graduated from a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School, Master in the History and Philosophy of Science and Ideas from the Tel Aviv University and LLB from the Hebrew University.

He is currently a Director of Economic Development in Portland Trist, Tel-Aviv, and a Member of the Israeli-Palestinian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Previously, for eight years, a Director of Regional Development and international Relations at the Ministry for Regional Cooperation and the Ministry for the Development of the Negev and Galilee. Yishai worked closely with Vice Prime Ministers, Shimon Peres and Silvan Shalom.

He has been leading Regional Cooperation activity, including the Red Sea Dead Sea Conveyance and major development projects in the periphery, such as the establishment of a medical school in Safed.   

Earlier, Yishay served as an Executive Director, Israel Jordan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
