Dear members and visitors,
We are proud to present to you our very first newsletter.
During the past three months, since the IPCC has started working, we have been very busy finding partners and projects in which we can make a difference. We have met with Israeli companies and business leaders and discussed possible cooperation with foreign embassies and international aid organizations.
Here are some highlights of our recent activities:
- Our inaugural Gala Dinner was a high-profile event which gathered over 200 Israeli business leaders and some 30 Palestinian businessmen from the West Bank, thus showing their interest and commitment to enhancing bilateral trade. Among the guests were also foreign ambassadors and government officials. The main speakers during the evening were Tony Blair, the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and currently the Quartet Envoy to the Middle East, Vice Prime Minister Silvan Shalom and deputy foreign minister Mr. Danny Ayalon. The dinner was covered by international and Israeli media and was not made possible without the generous support of our sponsors: The Portland Trust, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Labour, The Nesher Cement Company and ASYD Investments..
- We have met with foreign embassies accredited to Israel, who have asked us to help promote their projects in the Palestinian Authority.
- We have met with the trade commissioners of all EU member countries represented in Israel and briefed them about the IPCC's mission and goals.
- We have visited Ramallah and met with prominent Palestinian business people.
- We are working with the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs in organizing meetings between Israeli and Palestinian businesswomen.
I invite you to check out our website, www.ipcc.org.il, and to register to our newsletters. Those of you who are not members yet are very much encouraged to join us, as the IPCC is the "go-to" organization when it comes to promoting Israeli-Palestinian trade.
Sincerely,

Ofir Gendelman
